The Store & Hospitality Manager is responsible for providing overall store management, innkeeping for the B & B, and providing exceptional guest experiences to all species that pass through our Yamhill, Oregon property.
In addition to Store and Innkeeping, this position manages the day-to-day operations of the Yamhill facility.
Perform, or supervise/coordinate those who perform, Farm Stand duties including but not limited to:
Develop business strategies to expand store traffic and optimize profitability.
Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff.
Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service.
Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits, etc.
Propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.
Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.
) Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities, determining additional needed sales promotion, and authorizing clearance sales.
Proactively manage displays in store to highlight seasonal specials and maximize produce quality and sales.
Develop and execute SOPs for the store, opening and closing procedures, etc.
Maintain inventory and POS system.
In partnership with the Source Farms General Manager, selects, supervises, trains, develops, schedules and performance manage team members.
Develop and maintain knowledge of products, availability, current and future shares, produce, seasonal availability, and methods of animal husbandry.
Perform, or supervise/coordinate those who perform, Property Management duties, including but not limited to:
Conducting periodic and routine inspections of the Property Maintenance of parking areas, farm areas, and buildings, and landscaping Light duties around care of resident farm animals Work in collaboration with The Ground maintenance team and other Ground Crew to address larger property needs.
Perform, or supervise/coordinate those who perform, Innkeeping duties, including but not limited to:
Check in / check out and reservations.
Set up, maintain and tear down guest breakfast as needed.
Develop and execute SOPs for the B & B Ensure guest and employee needs and concerns are responded to in a timely, professional, and friendly manner with a focus on service recovery when applicable.
Assist with the training, coaching and development of team members.
Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all The Ground's amenities, offerings, and special events.
General Responsibilities Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
Assists in creating and managing departmental budget.
Monitor revenue, expenses and labor costs.
Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, functions well and is used only as intended.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Must live on-site (see Benefits and Compensation sections below) A college degree with 1-3 years of experience in direct sales, events, and/or retail, and/or 2
years of experience in a management role at a similar inn, hotel, or resort preferred.
Organization skills, attention to detail, problem solving, and multi-tasking.
Able to train, delegate, supervise, and evaluate employees.
Excellent time management skills Great interpersonal skills Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics that empower and inspire employees to meet and exceed standards.
This person should have exceptional customer service and sales skills, as well as a keen interest in sourcing and supporting regional regenerative farmers.
Strong customer service or guest relations experience required including basic negotiation skills.
Experience with people management skills, including coaching, motivating, delegating, scheduling, and relationship-building.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required including the ability to write contracts, reports, business correspondence, and operations manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, managers, clients, guests, or the public.
Ability to create a team environment within and across departments.
Good computer literacy in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong general management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results.

This position is based in Yamhill, OR and includes on-site lodging in a two-bedroom, attached apartment to the B and B.

Compensation:
